Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Arcadia Residents Directory. By using the reference, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the pages or any linked search tool.

1. What This Reference Is

Arcadia Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections associated with Arcadia, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with Arcadia, Los Angeles County, California agencies, a court, a library, or any records custodian.

2. Rules for Using the Pages

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use them or anything reached through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision involving credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the material at scale.
  • Interfere with the reference’s operation, security, or availability.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency Status

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Nothing on the pages, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is offered as a consumer report. The information may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Outside Links and Tools

County and state portals, courts, libraries, archives, and sponsored search services maintain their own terms, fees, privacy practices, and availability. Arcadia Residents Directory is not responsible for their material, results, pricing, or handling of information submitted there.

5. No Warranties

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, fact, link, portal, fee, coverage date, or search result is accurate, complete, current, or continuously available.

6. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or an external resource, including an action taken because of a record found through them.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is allowed. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the collection is not allowed without permission.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted on this page. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.

10. Suspension or Blocking

The operators may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms, abuses a page, attacks site security, or otherwise interferes with the service. This may occur without advance notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without applying conflict-of-law rules. California’s Public Records Act is codified at Government Code sections 7920.000 et seq. and governs requests to public custodians, not this private reference. California consumer privacy duties may also arise under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq., where applicable.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
